Google Maps and Your Club Website

My Club Website now allows you to pinpoint your club on the map using Google Maps.

It's easy and will make your club website even better.

The map will display at the bottom of your Contact Us page under your contact form.

To insert your location on your club website, go to your Administration Area -> Manage Content -> Contact Us page and click on Edit.

At the bottom of this form you will see the new Google Maps field with a few instructions underneath to explain what to do. If you have any issues as always please feel free to email support@myclubwebsite.com.au.

My Club Website - Your Club Logo!

My Club Website now allows you to upload your logo on to your club template.

You will see when you log into your administration area, on your administration home page (under the banner upload) you have the ability to upload your logo.

The logo will appear on the top right of your website about the registration image. The image will be automatically sized to 125 pixels wide.

You can view an example of the logo by going to http://www.helensvalecricketclub.com who are the first to try out the new logo option.

Select Your Timezone

You can now select your own timezone.

Previously it was done by My Club Website administrators however now the power is in your hands and it is displayed to your visitors on your website.

Simply go to your generic club settings and select your time zone.

New Feature - Club Guest Book

Another new function has been added to My Club Website for each of your clubs to use.

When you add the Club Guest Book to your club website your visitors will be able to sign it providing you with words of encouragement and welcoming words for your players and members.

There is an approval process in your administration area. This gives you the administrator the power to determine which Guest Book entries will be displayed to your website visitors.

It's easy to use and set up.

1. Remember you will need to give yourself and your fellow Club Website administrators access to the new area through the Maintain Club Admins section of your administration area. Once they have access they will be able to approve or decline Guest Book entries entered.

2. Make sure the Guest Book Option is viewable on your Club website by going to Club Site Options in your administration area.

3. On the Club Site Options page make sure you select who will receive the Guest Book Notifications when completed by a visitor. This will send an email to whomever you select in the drop down so they can action it. If no one is select, an email notification will not be sent to anyone. But you will be notified when logging into your administration area.

My Club Website - Changes are coming!

It has been while since we have communicated with each of you.

As My Club Website has been getting more clubs on board (thanks to those referring us) the more we have been looking at the best ways to improve the software for your club website.

You will notice that the administration menu has now changed to hopefully provide a easier to navigate interface. After the new year, you will see some major changes to your My Club Website administration interface. This is just the beginning.

You will also notice that you can now create your own pages within My Club Website. Your normal page options still remain for your ease, however if you want to add new content pages to your club website, it's now available to you.

Club website administrators - please note - that you must give yourself and any other website editors access to this area using the User Administration Area.

Coming soon we will have a club managed Guest Book which will allow your visitors to communicate with your members and also club polls which will allow you to ask the hard hitting questions about whatever topic you like!

The front end interface is also currently being redesigned. So your club website will soon look even smarter and be easy to navigate.

These changes are coming over the coming months.

Remember you can earn your club free months just by referring My Club Website to other clubs.

For each newly referred club or association that signs up on the “Pay 5, Take 6” or “Pay 9, Take 12” Package currently being offered by My Club Website, will earn your club ONE FREE MONTH! You can refer as many cubs as you want. For each club referred, your will receive one free month.

The new club or association will just need to enter you’re My Club Website ID (found in your administration area) on the Registration Form found on the My Club Website corporate website.

Free month(s) will be added onto the end of your current subscription period. Free month(s) will only be given to your club if the referred club pays for their first subscription period with the “Pay 5, Take 6“ or “Pay 9, Take 12” packages. Only new clubs assigned to My Club Website will earn your club a free month.

An Update from My Club Website

My Club Website has received some good feedback since Christmas regarding some functionality that our users want for their club.

Recently we have added two new content pages that can be added to your club website. As per all pages within My Club Website, they are easy to update and display.

The two pages relate to information about your Umpires and also Coaches. The pages are called "Umpire Information" and "Coach Information". You will find these pages under "Club Information".

My Club Website was also in talks with an Online Payment company that allowed members to pay for their memberships online. Unfortunately this company is no longer operating and My Club Website administrators are looking for other avenues.

We would like your feedback on this kind of functionality. Would this be something your club would be interested in having within My Club Website? Would you like more functionality when it comes to your members and MyClub Website?

Over the coming weeks we will be updating My Club Website with even more functionality to better suit your clubs requirements.

Your Clubs Positions, Services and Items For Sale

My Club Website has made available three more club related content pages to your club website.

The three new content pages are “Positions Vacant”, “Trades and Services” and “For Sale”. Use these pages to offer even more services to your members and community. These pages will provide even more of a reason for people to visit your club website.

You will find these pages under “General” in your administration area. If it is the first time using any of these pages you will need to give yourself access through your Club Admin administration page.

Your Club Site and Google

My Club Website is always looking at ways to make your club website even better.

A new feature of My Club Website relates to you being able to manage your sites search engine details through your administration.

While in the administration area be sure to go 'Generic Club Setup' and then select 'Club Google Settings' from your administration menu. My Club Website allows you to mange your own meta keywords and description through this page (more details available on the administration page).

Want statistics on how well your site is performing? We suggest Google Analytics to provide you the best and most informative breakdown of your club's website internet statistics available. All for free. Further instructions for using this excellent free tool with your club website are available on this page also.
